Before you apply in PhORCAS make sure you obtain the following information from the ASHP online residency directory or program:

  • Special Requirements for Acceptance

Standard Requirements for an application in PhORCAS includes:

The Match Process


ASHP Summer Internship 

ASHP offers a competitive ten-week training program in national association management. To be eligible to apply, students must be enrolled in a full-time ACPE-accredited doctor of pharmacy program, be in good academic standing, and have an active membership with ASHP. The program is located at our headquarters in Bethesda, MD and is designed to provide experience in such areas as:

  • Association activities and operations
  • Professional and public affairs
  • Publications and drug information
  • Student affairs
  • Membership
  • Marketing
  • Governmental affairs
  • Product Development'

ASHP does not provide a stipend or salary. All personal expenses and arrangements (e.g., housing, transportation, etc.) are the responsibility of the intern. ASHP will reimburse the intern for routine expenses associated with attendance at the Summer Meeting, including transportation, meeting registration, and hotel.  To find out more click here.
